Set in the heart of Nacton Village, just a short journey from Ipswich, Nacton & Bucklesham Under Five’s is a welcoming rural preschool where children learn through play, exploration, and a deep connection with the natural world. Our environment is rich in authentic, natural resources that inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, and support each child’s growing “feeling of me”.
We are a committee‑run preschool open Monday to Friday, 8:45–15:15 during term time, offering places for children aged 2–5. Through free‑flow play and a calm, caring atmosphere, we support each child’s individual needs and empower them to learn at their own pace.
To support a smooth transition into Primary School, our 4‑year‑olds can join Lunch Club at Nacton Primary School during the summer term. After the morning session, two members of staff accompany the children to the school dining hall for lunch and outdoor play, before returning to preschool for the afternoon session.

We accept 2, 3 and 4‑year‑old funding (15 hours and a proportion of 30 hours, which can be shared with another setting).
