Review: Yoto Player, worth £89.99

Review by VIP Club Member Kimberley Day

We were very excited to be chosen to do this review and when we opened our Yoto Player my 3 year old couldn't wait to use it.

We downloaded the app and followed the easy set up instructions including charging the box up. We then added the cards to the library on the phone app, which some seemed harder then others to tap but we soon got the hang of it.

I love that you can name the box and name your own cards, we put songs that we had made on to one card and a story being read by a family member on the other make your own cards that we had.

The box stayed charged all day and still had charge for the next day too, which is great.

My 3 year olds favourite part is the radio channel and how it tells you what day it is.

I love that pictures that come up on screen when playing the cards and how it is a clock when you are not playing them, then when turning it upside down its a light that you can change the colour of in the app.

We found the Yoto Plater easy to take out on car journeys to keep her happy on the drive. The case made it easy to carry and the headphones meant that we didn't have to listen to the box as well.

We have enjoyed it so much that we have joined the club and ordered more cards, which there are so many well-known characters to choose and I'm sure that we will be asking for more as birthday gifts from friends and family.

I would definitely recommend this for toddlers and older children as a perfect alternative too screen time and can grow with them using different age group cards.
