Review: WOW! Toys Pippa’s Princess Carriage, worth £26.99

I was lucky enough to get the chance to review the WOW! Toys Pippa’s Princess Carriage for my daughters, who are 15 months old and 5 years old, and I have been really pleased with it overall. It’s quite difficult to find a toy that both children genuinely enjoy playing with, especially with such a large age gap, but this one has been a real success. My youngest enjoys pushing the carriage around and playing with the horse, while my eldest loves creating imaginative stories with the princess figures and carriage. It’s lovely to see them playing together with the same toy.

The quality of the carriage itself is excellent. It feels very sturdy and durable, which is important in a house where toys get plenty of use. The wheels roll smoothly, the carriage is well-made, and it has stood up well to lots of play without any signs of breaking or coming apart. The colours are bright and attractive, and it has a lovely princess theme that immediately appealed to my eldest daughter.

My only real frustration was the packaging. While I appreciate that the toy needs to be secure during transport, it was attached with so many ties and fasteners that it took me quite a while to remove everything from the box. It wasn’t something my children could play with straight away, and I found the unpacking process more difficult and time-consuming than it needed to be.

The only other downside is that my 15-month-old has managed to chew some of the paint off the small figures. This is something to be aware of if you have younger children who are still at the stage of putting toys in their mouths. Thankfully, the carriage itself has remained in excellent condition.

Overall, despite those two minor issues, I think this is a lovely toy. It’s sturdy, encourages imaginative play, and has been enjoyed by both of my daughters. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a durable princess toy for young children.
