Review: Slipfree Shoes, worth from £15.95
Review by VIP Club Member Amelia Withall
At first glance, the Slipfree shoes look very well made. The upper fabric is soft and silky, whilst the sole is grippy, bendable, and feels as though it will protect little feet from slipping on wet floors. The inner lining is soft and comfortable, whilst pattern on the fabric is incredibly vivid and high quality. The elastic ankle band keeps them in place, and there is plenty of room for little feet to grow. My only possible concern is that inside the shoe there is a ridge that feels as though it could rub along the top of the foot if worn for long periods, but as we are coming into the colder months I cannot test this, so my 4 stars would hopefully change to 5 when we get to warmer weather and my toddler can wear them for longer to test this out.
I can see the shoes as being great for outdoor use, as the factor 50 protection will keep feet safe from the sun and hot sand on beaches in summer. A big bonus to these shoes is their sizing, which spans multiple shoe sizes and makes them worth the price for their longevity. My toddler is just hitting UK size 7, so we decided to go for the kids size S (UK 7-9).
We took the shoes to a local pool to try them out, which has a few steps between the changing rooms and the pool. Wearing the shoes really helped my toddler with walking safely to and from the pool, and we got a lot of compliments on the beautiful pattern! They enjoyed wearing them around poolside and the changing rooms and did not want to take them off! Overall I think they are worth buying, and I will definitely be considering getting a new pair once my toddler grows out of these!
I would give these shoes a 4 out of 5 stars (with the possibility of being 5/5).
