Review: Graco Sway 'n Grow, worth £180
Review by VIP Club Member Rebecca Goodsell
We were looking forward to reviewing the Graco Sawy 'n Grow and first impressions, it's easy to set up, looks modern, included newborn insert and padding looks comfortable.
The swaying motion is delightful, and super silent. It allows you to pick the speed of the sway to suit your baby. You can also set it to vibrate at the same time for extra soothing for baby. The bluetooth function is a great feature, allowing you to play music from your phone.
It mentions being suitable for children up to 4 years, however I am dubious of this as my 3 year sat in it and I was afraid of it breaking on her so I personally wouldn't recommend it or feel confident using it for older toddlers.
I did like the interface on the base, I found this easy to manoeuvre and it's quite clear what each button does and it is touch sensitive, which makes changing from one setting to another seamless. The only thing that I would recommend is if they add a feature to be able to lock the interface into one setting by holding down a button or similar as I did find if you have other little ones in the house, they can fiddle with the buttons and the swing speed can be changed or the whole device turned off.
The swing fits comfortably in the corner of the room and doesn't feel bulky or that it's taking up a lot of space and is surprisingly not too heavy to move around.
After using the Graco Sway 'n Grow consistently and brutally at times (thanks to my toddler!), I can honestly say this is a beautiful and well made swing that combines all the functions you need to soothe baby, and the added features and it's look make it the perfect swing for modern family homes, also it is completely silent and doesn’t distract you while it’s on.
Pros: Modern clean look, Bluetooth built in and 6 speed swaying motion
Cons: I'm not confident on it's claim of it being used by 4 year old and not being able to lock the buttons when using
