Review: Crealy Theme Park & Resort

We were lucky enough to win a 3 night break at Crealy Theme Park & Resort which included hot tub lodge accommodation and theme park tickets.

Myself, my friend and our two year old daughters had a wonderful time this past week.

Upon arrival we were really impressed with our lodge, the bedrooms were big and bathroom spacious, the hot tub area was fenced in with a gate across it to prevent toddlers running off and the whole lodge was immaculately clean, with the hot tub serviced and monitored twice a day.

There is tonnes of storage, and lots of electrical plugs including USB sockets. The kitchen had everything we needed and felt like home from home, all appliances were easy to use and have clear instructions.
We were able to order a Tesco delivery to reception which made it super easy to stock the fridge and prepare toddler snacks and dinners in the lodge.

We ate in the clubhouse on Friday night and the food was great, good standard and reasonably priced - they had a kids eat free offer which was brilliant value. And everyone enjoyed the disco, especially the little ones!

The staff we found to be exceptional. So incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and that was the case for the whole resort and theme park, everyone went out of their way to be helpful and particularly kind to the children.

The theme park is clean and tidy, really clear which rides are suitable for people and height restrictions, and well laid out so it all made sense what was where. The app made it clear which rides were on and which were closed or on staggered times and if you looked a bit confused there was always someone to help you.

As it was September the park wasn’t fully open Thursday and Friday, the rides had staggered times so some were open one hour and then others the next, and there were no shows however we found this worked really well for the age of our children it meant we could take our time and explore everything and on Saturday when everything was open they were confident and it wasn’t overwhelming for them, again the staff were incredibly helpful and clear about what was open and when.

In the park there is so much to do for toddlers, there are lots of rides they could do as they both are over 92cm so had their first rollercoaster experience which they loved! There is also trains and jeep type rides and even cars they drive themselves!
There are also lots of play areas, including three play areas on the resort itself, all different themes and all well maintained, our girls loved climbing, going down all the slides and never got bored.

The whole site is incredibly pushchair friendly and accessible for little toddler legs. There are a few calmer areas both in the woodlands for walks and some play in nature, and there are lovely animals they can interact with both inside and outside.

One of the best things about the lodges was they were close enough that we could go back for lunch and a break or a change of clothes during the day without it feeling like a massive expedition. The only small issue was the WiFi signal and mobile reception was weak at the lodge which made it difficult to check ride times and clubhouse information before we set off.

I would highly recommend Crealy Park as a short break with young children the accommodation was fantastic, the park had far more than I expected for little ones and the staff made the experience extra special.
