Family Day Out at Bounce South West Inflatable Park
During Easter break we headed down to Devon for a day out at the Bounce South West Inflatable Park at Greendale Farm Shop near Farringdon Exeter to be exact.… and it delivered exactly the kind of fun (and chaos) you’d hope for.
We’d pre-booked online, which made everything really smooth when we arrived. Straight in, checked in, and handed our special jump socks - no shoes or bare feet allowed anywhere, which actually makes total sense once you’re in there flying about.
There was a quick group briefing before we started, nothing over the top just the usual common-sense, “don’t be a wally” type guidance… then off we went.
And honestly, there was so much to do. Not just one big inflatable but loads of different zones and activities. Climbing walls for the littlies and bigger kids, huge jump pillows, gravity-style jump mats, and some balance games (which I was particularly terrible at 😅). There was even a more traditional bouncy castle for those who just wanted to… well, bounce.
It meant everyone could enjoy it in their own way. Aurora (6), who’s a little more risk-averse, was happy bouncing around and doing her thing and had just as much fun as Flo (8), who genuinely looked like she was auditioning for the next series of Gladiators.
The standout moment (and slight regret 😅) was the big big slide. When you go on that, they kit you out in a full-on jump suit to stop friction burns, although I’m convinced it also makes you go faster. I went straight in… no warm-up, no easing in… and halfway down I was questioning that life choice slightly.
Now, I’m a big bloke, I own mirrors, it’s fine, but fair play, they had suits that actually fit properly, which made a big difference.
When Emily and I needed five minutes to find our feet (and catch our breath), there was a lovely little spot to grab a tea or coffee… before we were inevitably dragged back in for “just one more” assault course race. Weather-wise, it wasn’t amazing but we did go in April, so no surprises there. And honestly, once you’re in it, you don’t even notice.
We went as a family of four consisting of myself, Emily, and the girls Flo & Aurora and it just worked. Loads of laughs, loads of energy, and one of those proper memory-making days.
Did we have fun? 100%
Would we do it again? 100%
And I’ll be honest… I’m already eyeing up their summer Slip and Slide,t hat feels like the next level.
If you’re thinking about it, I’d highly recommend it. Booking was seamless, the setup is spot on, and it’s just a great day out for families.
