Love Nature

Get stuck into some eco-themed fun and show nature some love, from making fat balls for birds to learning about our coastal environments. Join the friendly eco artist to help build a 3D model of Christchurch Mansion and park. 

As well as the workshop, there will be free drop-in activities for all ages, including toddlers.

Rendlesham Forest is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There's something for everyone, including children's play areas, cycle trails, sculptures to discover in Tangham Wood and plenty of places for a picnic. Walk the UFO trail and discover more about the famous UFO sighting in December 1980.

Geo-Caching Treasure Hunt

Every Day – 9.00am – 4.00pm

Enjoy a family day out at Dunwich Heath and Beach this winter. For families, there are accessible trails, a den building area, or you can take on a geo-caching treasure hunt. At weekends, between 10am and 3pm, you can pick up a tracker pack and discover all sorts of nature. Jam-packed full of spotter guides, tools, binoculars and more besides to study every kind of species that calls the heath home!

Snowdrops in Robin’s Grove

The Team at Markshall Estate look forward to seeing the return of snowdrops in Robins Grove. The special snowdrops grove is located next to natural play area, Chestnut Chase where families can create dens, take a moment in the wooden sofa bench, and watch out for birds stopping by the bird feeders. The perfect day out for all nature explorers of every age.
