Coronation Wildlife Walk

Ryton Pools Country Park

Come and join our expert rangers for a guided wildlife walk around the park! We will be walking the routes of our official pollinator surveys and carrying them out with your help. These walks are a wonderful way to learn more about Ryton’s numerous bumblebees and butterflies, as well as any other wildlife we see along the way! It is also a chance to see some of the stunning private conservation areas of the park up close.

You will join us on one of two routes in the park:

Meadow Walk - A circular, easy-going walk through our wildflower offsetting meadow and along the pirate trail (marked in yellow on the map)

Paget’s Walk - A longer route that covers key wildlife areas across the park, including around the Paget's Pool conservation area (marked in blue on the map)

This event is suitable for all ages. Depending on the weather and time of year there may be areas of mud or long vegetation, so please bring suitable footwear and clothing.
