Editor’s Review: Sunday Lunch at 185 Watling St. Pub and Kitchen

185 Watling St turned out to be a delightful place to enjoy a beautifully prepared Sunday lunch with the whole family

Before we had children, we used to eat out a fair bit. As one child became two however, and two became three, well, meals out have become much more of a treat and a special occasion.

And it’s such a shame when it doesn’t turn out how you’d hoped. Poorly cooked food. Bad service. Dirty tables or smelly toilets. Not child-friendly (even though they say they are). The potential for that treat turning sour is definitely there, and we have certainly had less than wonderful experiences as a family in the past.

I’m pleased to report however that today was a different story – today we discovered 185 Watling St Pub and Kitchen in Towcester. And it was amazing.

Introducing The Little Foot Festival at Stanwick Hall

The One Day Family Fundraising Festival

Saturday 3rd September sees the arrival of a new festival for kids young and old. The festival’s theme is ‘exploring’. Zorbing, Rock Climbing, Forest School Skills, storytelling and crafting workshops will all feature alongside good food from the Original PizzaBox , fun music, children’s theatre and an epic Teddy Bear’s Picnic! 

Tickets are just £3 for kids and £6 for adults when purchased in advance from – there will be more on the door, if there are any left! Get your ticket today they are selling fast.

The Little Foot Festival aims to raise desperately needed funds for Nepal’s children and provide a really fun family day out. There is lots for under fives to do – crafting, facepainting, glitter tattoos, a teddy tombola, cupcake decorating and a famous story teller will enchant children with her tales from far off lands and epic adventures.
