Personalised Christmas gift ideas for toddlers

Personalised Christmas Gifts are a special gift for any child

Personalised Christmas Gifts are a special gift for any child

Christmas is a magical time for children, especially toddlers. But knowing what to buy them is never easy.

Young children between the ages of one and three don’t often articulate what they want for Christmas, leaving parents wondering. You can’t peer into their minds, find out what they want and then go out and buy it. And even if you could, there’s a good chance that they don’t have a well-formed idea of their ideal present either.

There is a way out of this conundrum, though: personalised Christmas gifts for toddlers. These gifts are not only suitable for young children, but personal too, setting them up as objects of nostalgic reflection in the future.

So what’s out there? What are the best toys for toddlers this Christmas? Here are some of your options. Continue reading

Review: Kit & Kin All-in-One, worth £21.99

Kit & Kin, All-in-OneReview written by Toddle About VIP Club member, Kristi Ludlow.

The Kit & Kin brand is marketed to appeal to those concerned with the environment, allergens and clothing longevity. The All-in-one markets at £21.99 for one suit and is available in 4 size options between 0 and 18 months. There are 6 pattern designs with gender neutral and muted palettes to appeal to a wide spectrum of people. The design incorporates fold over cuffs at the hand and feet for versatility, and includes a central popper fastening system.

I requested the 12-18 month size suit for my daughter; she is 7 months old, and as my regularly used brands come up too short for her comfort necessitating this size, upon checking the size guide this appeared necessary with this brand. It arrived with minimal, simple packaging that clearly highlighted the brand and it’s ethos; I liked the lack of plastic that most clothing typically is swamped in; easier to open and does make you feel better about recycling. The suit mirrored the fit of other brands and the fastening mechanism worked fine. The fold over cuff design was easy to use and effective, yet appeared to limit foot space in this instance. I liked the design which had a pale multi-coloured pattern that looked pleasant and received compliments from family. The suit did appear superior in quality; softness and Continue reading

Review: One Dear World (Book & Doll), £19

One Dear WorldReview written by Toddle About VIP Club member, Evie Underwood.

I received my ‘Hope’ doll and book last week and my gosh what a gorgeous product!

The doll is made of fantastic quality and the hair is the best I have ever seen on a doll. I would also like to thank Winnie from One Dear World for the personalised note, that was a very nice touch.

I love the multicultural selection of dolls that are available, it means there’s one suitable for everyone and nobody feels left out – also, like me, you could choose a completely different doll to your own race to introduce other races to children at a young age.  Hope has a very friendly face, without it being over the top which is nice as I have found some dolls look too over excited whilst others can look miserable and off putting for children.  Continue reading

REVIEW: The Irish Fairy Door Company – Interactive Worry Plaque, £19.95

The Worry PlaqueReview written by Toddle About VIP Club member, Kellie-Jayne Clare.

My 4-year-old daughter, Lilyana, is a sweet, funny and very clever little girl.  As such, she is prone to over thinking.  She tends to worry about things and, like most children her age, she has trouble dealing with her feelings.  So, when I was asked to review the worry plaque I thought, ‘This is perfect!’.

The Worry Plaque is an interactive battery-operated disc that is made from moulded plastic and is shaped like a section of log.  It has built in brackets on the back so that it can be mounted on the wall of your child’s bedroom, (with the screws provided).

To activate the plaque, your child must place their hand into the hand print shaped indentation on the front.  When it glows red, your child can tell their worry to the fairies.  After a short period of time, the hand print turns green indicating that the fairies have heard the worry and have taken it away.  The Irish Fairy door company’s website explains that the worry is then turned into fairy dust and used by the fairies to grant wishes. REVIEW: Moccstars, Soft Leather Moccasins for Little Feet, £28

MoccstarsReview written by Toddle About VIP Club member, Stacey Leigh.

We requested to review the Moccstars Cinnamon Suede Chelsea boots for our daughter Sofia aged nine months, they looked absolutely stunning and great to pair with numerous outfits. There was so many too choose from it took us a while to decide!

They arrived in a beautiful little bag, I opened them up and they were just as beautiful as shown in the pictures, super soft with suede soles and a great fit for Sofia who has quite wide feet with a chunky bit on top, they look so comfortable too.

They’re ideal for pre-walkers as pram shoes (Sofia can’t walk yet) or for toddlers. They stay on the child’s foot and encourage movement and even help strengthen the muscles and ligaments needed for walking. Continue reading

REVIEW: Hape The Jungle Journey Train, £8.00

Hape The Jungle Journey TrainReview written by Toddle About VIP Club member, Megan Fryer.

I received the jungle journey train through the post, my first impression of it was that it looked good and I was impressed with how sturdy it was.

Taking it out of the packaging was about difficult especially the packaging around each individual train and animal.

After all of the wrapping was off, my daughter was so excited to play with it. She is 2 years old and loved the animals on the top and that they could come off of the train so that she could play with them individually. Continue reading
