12th – 14th August 2016 – Green Park, Buckinghamshire
Imagine a festival with a difference – a retreat where families come together as one big tribe for a moment in time. A home where hearts beat in time with the earth, hands reach out to connect with one another, and our words meet little ears with compassion to nurture.
Tribal Hearts Festival brings natural living and family life together with workshops, children’s activities, stalls and entertainment and will take place on 12th – 14th August 2016 at Green Park in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire.
The programme is jam-packed with loads of fun activities. Family workshops include Mindful Parenting, Nutrition, Empowered Birth, Yoga and opportunities to make something to take home, such as a natural skincare product. Headlining the workshops is parenting expert Sarah Ockwell-Smith, author of ‘The Gentle Parenting Book’, co-founder of The Gentle Parenting Website and mother of four. Sarah will provide an introduction to gentle parenting for beginners and deeper insight for those who are already committed to this approach.
There is even more for the wee wild ones, with children’s activities catering for a range of ages, including Bushcraft and Wilderness Skills, Tribal Crafts, Woodland Playgroup, Baby Signing, Storytelling and Imaginary play. There will also be a memorable and fun pyjama party around the campfire!
All workshops are included in the ticket price so you can make the most of what the festival has to offer, but if you would rather relax in the sun with an ice cream and live music, that’s covered too! Delicious food will be available and different dietary requirements will all be catered for, including vegan and gluten free.
Green Park’s beautiful fields and woodland will be transformed into a wild wonderland bursting with surprises, enchantment and love. Captivating the natural beauty of the site and weaving magic through every branch, footpath and tipi. With space for children to run free and reconnect with nature, nooks and crannies to discover, an enchanted tree and a natural playground to explore, their curiosity will be unlocked and Mother Nature will be their teacher.
Giving the Gift of Happiness
Festival organiser Vanessa Howe has studied child development and this became a real passion of hers when she had her own daughter two years ago. She started the event because she had been to several festivals and felt there was something missing for this audience. She said, “I wanted to help parents give children the gift of happiness, self-confidence, emotional wellbeing, compassion and responsibility. By choosing these workshops I hope to inspire and support visitors to the festival in creating a peaceful home where children are respected. Child-led play, nature and shared enjoyment of the festival will be a chance to reconnect with one another whilst giving children valuable learning opportunities.”
