Take a Welcome Break This May Half Term with New Kid's Corners and Activity Sheets

Welcome Break has announced the launch of its Kids’ Corners ahead of May half term, along with a whole host of activities for little ones as the motorway service area operator gears up to the busy travelling period.

Families with travel plans throughout the end of May don’t need to worry about entertaining their little ones during their much-needed stop offs, as Welcome Break motorway service areas have established Kids’ Corners, which are free of charge to use and are filled with activities and toys, designed to give parents some well-deserved rest after driving for long periods.

The Kids’ Corners feature a welcoming space for children to get creative with tables and chairs for them to work on their spring themed activity sheets, brought to customers in partnership with Twinkl. Welcome Break locations will also have toy boxes filled with toys such as abacus, magnetic maze, shape sorter, building blocks and sensory blocks so little ones can play and have fun while parents can rest and refuel at one of the many much-loved food brands they have to offer.

The entertainment doesn’t stop there as all Welcome Break locations will also host their Bug Hunt where kids can explore the service area and tick off all the bugs they see on the posters dotted around the Welcome Break. The posters will also display educational facts about the bugs, so little ones can learn all about bumblebees, butterflies, dragonflies, caterpillars and many more creatures while they stop off.

Gary Steele, Operations Director at Welcome Break said: “This half term we’re excited to be introducing Kids’ Corners in most of our service areas across the UK. We’re continuously looking for ways to improve our customer experience and we hope by launching the Kids’ Corners and Bug Hunt, families can enjoy some rest while their little one's release some of their energy.”

Kids Corners are open at:  Abington, Birchanger Green, Burtonwood East, Cardiff Gate, Charnock Richard, Corley, Fleet, Gordano, Gretna Green, Hartshead Moor, Hopwood Park, Keele, Leicester Forest East, London Gateway, Membury, Michaelwood, Newport Pagnell, Oxford, Rothwell Truck stop, Sarn Park, Sedgemoor, South Mimms, Telford, Warwick, Woodall.
