Loving Life with Little Ones

Toddle About is very much a family venture. The concept was originally my wife Ruth's idea, who found it incredibly hard to find the things that were going on in our local area for little ones - especially the free things! Although she has her hands full with our two daughters, she amazingly remains heavily involved - her years as an early years teacher at Kislingbury and Blisworth Primary Schools have proved invaluable in getting the content of Toddle About just right.

Toddle About is an incredibly fun project to work on, and we hope you like it! We have received some really positive feedback so far and we'd love to know what you think too, so please tell us.

Every year, thousands of new mothers suffer from post-natal depression. Many more mothers (and new-age home-dads!) suffer from a less serious condition, but a condition no less worthy of our attention: simple loneliness and boredom! Research has shown that better than pills, better than counselling, and better than Facebook (believe it or not!), what mums really benefit from most is personal contact and real conversations with other mothers in similar situations. But finding the places to go that can allow these friendships to begin can be difficult, and attending the first time can be daunting to many. Our intention is that Toddle About will make this first step that little bit easier - and once you have somewhere to look, it's amazing to see how many things are going on. There really are enough activities to suit any personal preferences!

We have big ambitions for Toddle About and many exciting ideas of where we can take it. Our slogan, "Loving life with little ones" really captures what we're about, so if there are any improvements or new services you think we might be able to provide to help you love your life with little ones even more, please let us know.

Longer term, we hope to provide opportunities for other parents who want to have a better work-life balance and take control of their working lives, by offering franchising opportunities for the areas they live in. If this appeals to you, we'd love to hear from you.
